The British government is ready to advance with employing the full worth of frozen Russian funds to aid Ukraine's defense operations, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a collective announcement, the heads of state of the Britain, France, and Germany emphasized that this joint measure would heighten pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin and persuade Russia to come to the table.

They further noted that the move would be executed in tight collaboration with the America.

British sanctions have frozen more than £25bn of Russia's assets since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, previously, money sent to the Ukrainian government using Russian holdings had exclusively been sourced from profits and interest accrued on them.

Sir Keir informed President Volodymyr Zelensky that the UK, the French Republic, and Germany were in agreement in their desire to push forward toward employing the complete amount of the immobilized Russia's state holdings to conclude the conflict.

He added that more sanctions over the next period would apply more pressure on Moscow.

This statement is subsequent to European Union representatives gathered in the Danish capital last week to consider employing immobilized Russia's funds for a €140bn credit to Ukraine.

Last month, President Donald Trump encouraged international partners to seize or utilize seized Russian funds, based on media sources.

The worth of immobilized Russian assets in the Europe is assessed to be approximately €211bn.

The Russian government carried out large-scale missile and drone strikes throughout Ukraine on that day, resulting in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the city, and multiple additional areas.

In a message on an online platform following the strike, Zelensky commented that the strategic strike targeted civilian and energy infrastructure.

"All penalty impositions weakens the Russian war effort," Zelensky noted, in a separate post.

In the same period, Zelensky stated to reporters he would encourage Sir Keir to enter the weapons procurement program, under which Nato countries buy military equipment from the America to give to Ukraine.

While commending the UK's strong support for the Ukrainian government, he remarked it should indicate firmly that it would take part in the system, as well as apply further measures on Moscow.
