Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as the country executed missile attacks across the region in retaliation for a large-scale and ongoing attack targeting the nation by the US and Israel.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone close to the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any damage is unclear and the United States has not commented.

Regional Interceptions

In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - reported they have shot down incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.

In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the Al Udeid Air Base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) declared it was targeting US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the offensive on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted areas linked to the Tehran's leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the Iranian people to revolt against the leadership.

Regional Fallout

In the State of Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military reported it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE stated that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses engaged the projectiles with great effectiveness and shot down a several projectiles," it added.

Officials reported debris landed in a populated district in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
