Football Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match victorious run came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the global break, however will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, fans and a variety of guests.

For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's new record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Parenting Life

Murs is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a professional return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I still love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too risky for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I won't force football on our children but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday soccer side," he said.

"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our team for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is already more potent with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor defeats so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

It smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third consecutive Premier League win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's sole on the road victory this season came at Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously that team's manager.

So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham extending their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are doing well but West Ham have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign started, but they have impressed a several observers under their manager and are in good form with three wins in their last four games.

My son advised me to select Bees striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

The forward will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are consistently strong at home. The visitors will try to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be quite tight. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

They have got lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight campaign so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We've not seen anyone else rough up the Gunners like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of October.

But I am not going to do that. Rather, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their good results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's home record, the sole team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are doing well and also that Fulham are on a poor run... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard fixture to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
