The House Oversight Committee has released a set of around 70 photographs from the estate of late adjudicated individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the latest in a series of release from a larger collection of more than 95,000 photos the body has secured from Epstein's holdings. It features images of passages from the book Lolita written across a female's body, and censored pictures of women's foreign passports.

This release comes mere hours before the 19 December cut-off for the DOJ to disclose all documents related to its inquiry into Epstein.

"These latest photographs pose additional questions about what exactly the Justice Department has in its custody," stated the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photographs Released

Some of the images published on recently depict Epstein in discussion with professor and activist Noam Chomsky inside a personal aircraft; Bill Gates positioned alongside a individual whose features is redacted; Steve Bannon sitting at a table facing Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the latest wealthy, influential individuals to be photographed in Epstein estate images released by the House Oversight Committee - previously released photos also include US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, ex- US treasury secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Appearing in the images is does not constitute evidence of any wrongdoing, and several of the photographed figures have asserted they were in no way implicated in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a announcement released with the photograph release, Democratic members on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate's representatives did not offer context or timings for the images.

"Photographs were selected to offer the general populace with clarity into a representative sample of the photographs obtained from the estate, and to give insights into Epstein's network and his profoundly disturbing actions," the release reads.

The disclosure also includes several photos of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita penned in black ink across several locations of a woman's body, such as her chest, feet, hipbone, and rear. Lolita narrates the tale of a adolescent who was exploited by a adult literature professor.

One passage from the book inscribed across a woman's upper body says, "Lolita: the end of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to alight, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a number of photographs of women's travel documents and identification documents from nations globally, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A further photo released is a screenshot of text messages from an unidentified sender who says they have been supplied "several females" and are requesting "$1000 per female".

Photograph Release Comes Before DOJ Cut-off

The body has thousands of images in its custody from the Epstein holdings, which are "both disturbing and everyday," its press release on recently explained.

The House Oversight Committee first subpoenaed the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while facing trial on charges of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The images and files the Epstein property provided to the body are separate from what is largely referred to "the Epstein documents". Those are documents within the DOJ's custody connected to its separate probe into Epstein.

Under the Transparency Act, which the President signed into law last month, the DOJ has until 19 December to disclose its records. The scope of the contents included in the DOJ's files is unknown, and it's likely that a significant portion of the information will be significantly redacted, comparable to the committee's releases
